Hysterolaparoscopy in assessment and management of female infertility

Background: Female infertility is a growing matter of concern in reproductive age affecting approximately 80 million couples globally. As per WHO, prevalence India up to 16.8%. Aims: The present trial was carried out assess the pathologies tract females with primary/secondary using hysterolaparoscopy and narrate therapies for management used subjects depending on findings hysterolaparoscopy. Materials Methods: study included 40 within 18 years 49 diagnosed either primary or secondary that underwent under general anesthesia, done detect any abnormality, were kept observation post-operatively 1 day. collected data subjected evaluation results formulated. Results: Laparoscopic abnormalities seen 35% (n = 140) subjects, Hysteroscopic 12.5% 5) combined 15% 6) subjects. Depending upon underlying pathology detected hysterolaproscopy, various interventions performed (Table 4) including ovarian drilling (25%, n 10), cystectomy polypectomy (15%, 6), curettage (2.5%, 1), adhesiolysis myomectomy cannulation fulgration salpingectomy (7.5%, 3). Conclusion: Within its limitations, concludes laparoscopy increases accuracy abnormality detection. Also, concurrent use hysteroscopy leads better terms cost, post-operative healing, detection infertility.
